Mythos:
The race of humans were crafted by the gods in order to inhabit the planet of Earth. The exact origins are unclear, various stories suggest that they were born of dust, molded from mud or clay or carved from trees. Some say the humans are the direct decendents of the gods themselves, while others claim they later interbred with gods, or that they were simply made in the image of gods. But whatever the exact truth, every human culture has some clue of their divine origin, every human culture looks up at the heavens and says that's where we're from; that's what made me. And yet, it would seem that despite their divine origin, humans have been blessed with very little by way of supernatural ability. Nonetheless, humans have repeatedly overpowered or outsmarted every type of mythical creature, for the gods have honored their responsibility to their divine creations and offspring, and give aid to the humans in times of crisis.

Insight:
I almost didn't include humans at all. Honestly, I find them pretty boring, but I know that not everyone shares my passion for goofy cute animal people, so I grudgingly created them in the hopes that it would boost sales. Originally, I didn't think I'd be able to find enough shades of skin tone to finish the entire 16 color palette, but once I got going, I feel like I filled it out nicely enough. My back-up plan was to use the abstract skin colors from the Doug Funny show.
