Mythos:
If I could sum up all the flaws of humankind, it would all come down to arrogance. That loathsome self-importance, that constant hubris. The humans imagine their little civilization to be the indestructible masters of Nature, themselves some sort of capstone of Evolution. They do not realize, indeed they refuse to consider, the true fragility of their existence. Hidden in the cracks and crevices of the universe, lurks an ancient race of giants that mankind could not imagine in their wildest of nightmares. Those who have glimpsed them can only call them Kaiju, strange beast. Scattered throughtout the depths of Nature, they sleep. Buried beneath the rock and fire of Earth's crust, frozen under archeic glaciers, deep beneath uncharted oceans or drifting through the bleak vacuum of space, the Kaiju have slept in a state of hibernation on geological time scales. But in their greatest act of hubris, humankind has lit the unquenchable atomic fires, the only force strong enough to stir these primordial titans from their million year hibernation. Now, the Kaiju will awaken. The Kaiju will lay claim to the planet that is rightly theirs, and drive to extinction the pitiful civilizations that dared to usurp it in their absence. Your arrogance has undone you, human. Your fragile existence is about to shatter.

Insight:
This is obviously a departure from my normal mythical creatures, but Kaijus hold a special place in my heart. When I was a kid, I loved dinosaurs, and from there started loving Kaiju movies and from there got interested in mythical creatures. And later in life, stumbling into AkuOreo's Kaiju girls were my first introduction to anthro art. I mean, I had already grown up watching Anthro Robin Hood and Great Mouse Detective, but these Kaiju were the first that were, you know, debaucherous. When studying Yokai, I discovered a creature known as the Honengyo, a river monster that looks suspiciously similar to the king of Kaiju, Godzilla. However, I'm deeply fond of Space Godzilla, so I decided to give my Kaiju race a more crystalline appearance. I also hope this gives them a more unique feel, something more than just a homage.
