Mythos:
The Hydra is a powerful aquatic creature with multiple heads. They have the ability to regenerate limbs, even their heads, when injured, unless the injury was burnt by flame. Some say that Hydras would even grow two heads for every one that was cut off, but the oldest sources deny them this ability, it may only be heroic hyberbole. The Hydra is also incredibly poisonous, excreting toxins that fill the surrounding air with a deadly miasma. Hydras are found underwater, and in watery caves. They often guard underwater portals to the nether realm, blocking passage between reality and the ethereal.

Insight:
I am incredibly proud of this solution to dealing with polycephalid creatures. The Acheron Hydra's head hands is the epitome of goofy cute anthro characters. The mouth hands obviously mess up the normal animation process, so I had to redo all the poses for the preview gallery. Since Hydras are aquatic, I gave it more fish-like or salamander-like features.
